Our leather bags are handcrafted from premium, natural leather — each one unique, with its own story told through subtle textures, variations, and tones. With the right care, your Adrienne V piece will age beautifully and serve you for years to come.

 

🌿 General Leather Care Tips

  • Handle with clean hands: Leather naturally absorbs. Natural oils, dirt, and lotions can affect the leather’s surface which may stain permanently or affect the color.
  • Avoid overfilling your bag: This helps maintain the bag’s shape and structure. Overstuffing may distort the shape and strain the seams.
  • Rotate your bag use. Give your leather bag a break between uses to avoid over-wear and allow the material to breathe.
  • Store thoughtfully: When not in use, store in a dust bag in a cool, dry place. Avoid plastic bags, which can trap moisture.

 

💧 Protection from the Elements

  • Keep away from prolonged sunlight. Direct sunlight may fade the leather or cause it to dry out.
  • Avoid water and moisture. Leather is porous and can stain or warp when wet. If caught in rain, gently pat dry with a clean cloth and air dry away from direct heat.
  • Beware of dark denim or color transfer. Light-colored leather can absorb dye from dark clothing and become stained.

 

 

🧼 How to Clean Your Leather Bag

1. Regular Wipe-Down (Weekly or as needed)

What you need:

  • Soft, dry cloth (microfiber preferred)
  • Optional: slightly damp cloth for gentle surface grime

Instructions:

  • Wipe your bag in small circular motions to remove dust and dirt.
  • Avoid scrubbing. Never use baby wipes, vinegar, or household cleaners, as they may damage the finish.

2. Deep Clean (Every 1–2 Months)

What you need:

  • Leather cleaner (pH-balanced, cream or foam-based — test on a small area first)
  • Clean, soft cloth

Instructions:

  • Apply a small amount of leather cleaner to the cloth, not directly to the bag.
  • Gently rub in a circular motion across the bag’s surface.

Frequency: Every 3–6 months, or when leather feels dry
Product: Leather conditioner or cream (avoid petroleum-based products)

Instructions:

  1. After cleaning and drying, apply a small amount of conditioner with a soft cloth.
  2. Gently massage into the leather.
  3. Buff with a clean, dry cloth to restore shine and softness.

 

Tip: Always test any product on a hidden area first to check for color change.

 

Why it matters: Conditioning helps prevent the leather from drying out, cracking, or becoming stiff over time — especially in dry climates or after travel.

 

 

 

📦 Storage

  • Store your bag in a cool, dry place.
  • When not in use:
    • Fill with tissue paper or bubble wrap to help retain shape (avoid newspaper — ink may transfer).
    • Place it in the dust bag provided to protect it from dust and scratches.
  • Avoid hanging by the straps, which can stretch or misshape them over time.

 

 

Water & Weather Protection

  • Rain happens! If your bag gets wet, gently blot (do not rub) the water with a clean cloth and let it air dry naturally.
  • Avoid drying with a heater or hair dryer, as direct heat can warp the leather.
  • Consider applying a leather protector or water-repellent spray (suitable for your bag's finish) to safeguard against light moisture or stains.

 

 

What to Avoid

  • Direct sunlight for prolonged periods (can cause fading and drying)
  • Contact with oils, makeup, perfume, and hand sanitizer
  • Harsh chemicals or alcohol-based cleaners
  • Storing in humid or sealed environments
  • Do not use alcohol-based products, household cleaners, or acetone.
  • Don’t leave your bag in humid bathrooms.

Each of our leather pieces is crafted with care from high-quality, ethically sourced leather. Due to the natural qualities of this material, we kindly ask you to take note of the following:

  • As leather is a natural material, slight variations in color, grain, and texture are not flaws, but rather unique characteristics that make each piece one of a kind.
  • Marks, subtle color shifts, or textural inconsistencies are expected and reflect the individuality of the hide and artisanal production process.

🎨 Color Representation

  • While we strive to display our products as accurately as possible, actual colors may vary slightly from your screen due to monitor settings, lighting during photography, and natural differences in the leather.
  • These variations are not considered defects and will not be accepted as cause for return under our standard policy.

A consultation is charged at R450, which will be deductible from the final cost of your finished piece. This ensures your ideas are thoughtfully developed with care, creativity, and craftsmanship.

At Adrienne V, we believe in slow fashion, timeless design, and meaningful delivery. As a small, family-run brand based in South Africa, we aim to ensure that every piece reaches you safely and beautifully — from our studio to your doorstep.

 

Order Processing Time

  • Orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays).
  • During peak periods (new collection launches, sales, etc.), processing may take a bit longer — we appreciate your patience as we craft and package each piece with care.

 

🚚 Domestic Shipping (South Africa)

  • Standard Courier (2–5 business days after processing):
    R99 flat rate | Free on orders over R1,500
  • All orders are shipped via trusted local couriers and include tracking.
  • You’ll receive an email with tracking information once your order has been dispatched.

Please note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on your location and courier network capacity.

🌍 International Shipping

  • We currently ship to select international destinations.
  • Please reach out to us via email to process an international order.

Customs & Duties:
International orders may be subject to import duties or customs fees. These charges are not included in our pricing and are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking with your local customs authority before placing your order.

🧵 Made to Order & Pre-Orders

Some Adrienne V pieces are made in small batches or on a pre-order basis to reduce waste and promote sustainable production.

  • Pre-order items will ship within the estimated lead time noted on the product page (typically 10–21 business days).
  • You will be notified via email once your order is ready to ship.

📦 Packaging

Each order is packaged sustainably. We avoid excessive plastic and use recyclable materials where possible.

Delivery Issues

  • If your parcel is delayed or shows as delivered but you haven’t received it, please email us at info@adriennev.com within 48 hours so we can assist.
  • Adrienne V is not responsible for delays caused by courier services or events beyond our control (weather, strikes, customs delays, etc.), but we will always advocate on your behalf.

Returns & Exchanges

Returns & Exchanges Policy

We want you to love your purchase — but if something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help.

🕊️ Eligibility for Return or Exchange

We gladly accept returns and exchanges under the following conditions:

  • The item is returned within 14 days of delivery.
  • The item is unused, unworn, and in original condition, with all packaging and tags intact.
  • A valid proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation) is provided.
  • The return is initiated by contacting us at info@adriennev.com prior to shipping the item back.

⚠️ Items Not Eligible for Return

  • Items returned after the 14-day window.
  • Items bought on Sale.
  • Personalised items.
  • Items that show signs of wear or use, including scratches, scuffs, stains, or odors.
  • Items damaged due to improper care or failure to follow leather care guidelines.
  • Items with natural leather variations (see below).
  • Custom or made-to-order pieces.

If you'd like to exchange an item:

  1. Contact us at info@adriennev.com with your order details and reason for exchange.
  2. Once approved, return shipping details will be provided.
  3. Exchanges will be processed upon receipt and inspection of the original item.

Note: We do NOT cover the cost of return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or faulty.

Shipping fees are non-refundable.

You are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to an error on our part. We recommend using a trackable courier and insuring the parcel, as Adrienne V is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit.
